I’m proud to announce that the 2011 Trail Running and Wellness Retreat for Women is presented by Run Like a Mother: The Book.
Joining us at the retreat at Vagabond Ranch, Colorado, this August are co-authors Dimity McDowell and Sarah Bowen Shea. One year ago, these two accomplished running and fitness writers joined forces and published Run Like a Mother: How to Get Moving—And Not Lose Your Family, Job, or Sanity (available for purchase at Andrews McMeel).
During the retreat, Dimity and Sarah will share stories of their running adventures, lessons learned and dish out great advice about balancing fitness with life’s other demands.
The essays in Run Like a Mother replicate the lively conversations good friends have when they’re out on a run: a mix of personal stories, hard-won, helpful advice, and crack-you-up anecdotes that cement a connection that goes well beyond the miles logged that day. In addition to being contributing editors for Runner’s World, Dimity and Sarah write for numerous publications, including SELF, Health, ESPN, Shape, Women’s Health, and Whole Living.
Dimity lives in Denver with her husband and two children. She’s the injury-prone half of RLAM but she’s discovered trail running and triathlons suit her better than pure running. Sarah, a mom of three kids, lives in Portland, Oregon, where she finally qualified for the Boston Marathon.
Resonating with, and inspiring, moms (and busy women) nationwide, Run Like a Mother is a must-have for any runner’s bookcase. Join the chat at www.runlikeamotherbook.com or on Facebook at Run Like a Mother: The Book.
